Road resurfacing works affecting Dark Lane and Radnor Grove, on or around 22nd October

Dark Lane and Radnor Grove are to be resurfaced some time around the 22nd of October, which will require temporary closure of the roads to traffic. Please see the attached document for further information.

North Bingham development update

This is the latest update from the developers regarding the outstanding landscaping works around the lake.

The works are due to continue on site from 24th August for an estimated 6-8 weeks. Once completed, the work will be checked by footway officers from Nottinghamshire County Council.

The developer is estimating the area being opened up formally in late Autumn.

Kirk Hill and Chapel Lane (level crossing) overnight road closure, 15-16 August

Kirk Hill and Chapel Lane, 25 meters either side of the level crossing, will be closed from 10:30pm on Saturday the 15th of August until 8:15am on Sunday the 16th of August. Please see the attached document for further information.

Wychwood Road Play Park Refurbishment Delayed by 1 Week

The Town Council’s contractor has had to push back the start date to 17 August 2020 from 10 August 2020. This is due to circumstances beyond our control. The Project Manager assigned to the refurbishment has returned from holiday and is now subject to quarantine restrictions.

Following the resolution by Council to sign the Annual Governance and Accountability Return at its meeting on Tuesday 28 July 2020, the Public Rights of Inspection period commences on Monday 03 August and ends on Monday 14 September 2020. Wychwood Road Play Park August 2020 Refurbishment

The Bingham Community Parks Project has announced the final designs for the play park on Wychwood Road.

On behalf of the BCPP I’m delighted to unveil to you the final designs for the new park at Wychwood Road.

You’ll no doubt see the range of exciting new equipment from the image here, but I’ll draw your attention to the fundamental choices we made to enhance the facility:

The removal of the existing walls and fencing for safety and to extend the park out into the surrounding areas

The concrete area in front of the existing park is now useful play space in the new design

A variety of equipment which makes provision now for 0-12 years rather than just toddlers as it is now

I must thank our funders, FCC Communities Foundation (formerly Wren) and Nottinghamshire County Council’s LIS (Local Improvement Scheme) whom without their support the park wouldn’t be possible – and of course support from Bingham Town Council.

I can’t wait to get started – which is useful because work commences on 10th August!
