The cemetery will remain closed due to high winds. The current forecast (as of Friday 15 March 2019) is that the high winds will become a fresh breeze on Sunday 17 March 2019, if that is the case the cemetery will re-open on Sunday. Notices at the entrance to the cemetery advise that the cemetery is closed, these notices will be removed once the high winds abate.
There have been several incidents over the last few weeks of trees been deliberately cut down and left to fall. This has taken place on the Linear Walk and on the Wynhill Playing Fields.

Rushcliffe Borough Council is launching a Tree Wardens network. The Town Council is supporting this scheme, if you are interested, please get in touch so that the preparatory work the Town Council needs to do, can be completed in time for Rushcliffe Borough Council’s launch meeting on Saturday 13 April.
