A temporary road closure will be in place on the A52 between RSPCA junction and Bingham Interchange , from Thursday, 16th July to Tuesday, 21st July. This is to enable the inspection and repairs of drainage, lighting, signs, and vegetation clearance.
Work will be carried out overnight, between 8pm and 6am, as follows:
- RSPCA junction to Bingham Road – Thursday 16th July 2026
- Bingham Road to Bingham Interchange – Friday 17th July, Monday 20th July, Tuesday 21st July 2026
There will be fully signed diversion routes in place whilst work is carried out.
Diversion via Stragglethorpe Road, A46 Northbound to Bingham Interchange
Diversion via Bingham Interchange, A46 southbound, Stragglethorpe Road
During closures, there will be escorted access for residents of Grantham Road and side roads. Main Street and Bingham Road will remain open allowing access to Carter Lane without escort. There will be no bus service available.
Every effort will be made to carefully manage noise and lighting levels throughout the works to reduce the impact on the surrounding community.
Everything possible will be done to minimise disruption to local residents and the travelling public while the works are carried out. The Highways Agency will aim to work to the programme, however unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather conditions may mean changes.
