Chapel Lane closed at level crossing, 9-19 May (UPDATED: Now ends 20 May)

Chapel Lane (from the level crossing to the site of the new leisure centre) will be closed to traffic from Monday the 9th of May until Thursday the 20th of May. Please see the attached document for further information, including a map of the diversion route.

Wychwood Road Play Area

26/03/2022

Residents will have noted the missing swings at the Wychwood Road Play Area. A repair was scheduled to take place this week, but whilst on site additional work is required to secure the swing sets on the site. We understand with the warming temperatures this will be a disappointment to residents and the Council will be working with the contractors to arrange the necessary work as the earliest opportunity.

The Local Government Boundary Commission – Further limited consultation to include Bingham

The Commission has decided to hold a period of further limited consultation prior to publication of its final recommendations.

Its proposals involve seven revised wards. This includes the Cropwell and Nevile & Langar wards in the south-east of the borough and the Bingham North, Bingham South, Cranmner, East Bridgford, and Newton wards in the north-east of the borough.

Bingham Town Council condemns the illegal invasion of Ukraine ordered by President Putin and the Russian Government. We express our horror at the disregard for human life, Ukraine’s national sovereignty and the international rule of law.

This Council stands with the citizens of Ukraine and their families and friends in Bingham.

We support the UK Government to continue working with our allies and international institutions to seek an urgent end to the military conflict and unfolding humanitarian disaster.
