Mayor’s Charity

05/12/202305/12/2023

The Mayor, Cllr Rowan Bird has chosen to support and raise funds for Mind. Cllr Bird said “I chose to support Mind during my term as Mayor as during my work as a first responder I understand the impact that suicide and mental health has on those affected and on their families.”

Mind is a registered charity who make a difference by making mental health an everyday priority. They stand up to the injustices – in healthcare, in work, in law – which make life harder for those with mental health problems. They offer help when needed through their information, advice, and local services. For 70 years, they have been committed to making sure that everyone experiencing a mental health problem can access the support they need and is treated with the respect they deserve.

Through public campaigns, influencing decision makers and the services our local Minds deliver in communities across England and Wales, they have touched millions of lives.
