Mayor Gareth Williams

Mayors Charity 2022/2023 Civic Year – The Rotary Club of the Vale of Belvoir

The Mayor, Councillor Gareth Williams, has chosen to support the Vale of Belvoir Rotary Club as his nominated Charity for the 2022/2023 Civic Year.

‘I am proud to be supporting the Vale of Belvoir Rotary Club as my nominated charity and look forward to achieving our shared goals. The group plays an active role in supporting the Bingham Community and its surrounding area. I chose to support the group as I would like to help showcase the work that they do and promote how they provide knowledge, volunteers, support and financial assistance to so many groups locally’’

Mayor Cllr Gareth Williams is supported by the Deputy Mayor Cllr Norman Mees for the 2022/2023 Civic Year

Bingham Mayor Supports Bingham Penguins Swimming Club

23/06/2019

John Stockwood, Bingham Mayor for 2019/20 is pleased to support the Bingham Penguins Swimming Club as his charity for the civic year.

Active for over 30 years, Bingham Penguins Swimming Club is a club for people with disabilities, their families and carers. Sessions are held on Sundays at Rushcliffe Arena and provide a safe environment for people to swim and gain confidence in the water.

The club is a charity, run entirely by volunteers and funded exclusively by donations. All of the club’s coaches, poolside helpers and volunteers are trained to provide a safe and secure environment for swimmers with disabilities

The Mayor will be organising fundraising activities during the year to support the Penguins and hopes everyone can join in supporting this worthy cause.
