In response to the local petition that was submitted by Bingham residents to Rushcliffe Borough Council in 2021, Rushcliffe have agreed with Bingham Town Council to establish a local Improvement Board to:
The Improvement Board comprises:
| Jonathan Owen: | Chief Executive, National Association of Local Councils |
| David Pye: | Lead Analyst, Commissioning & Research Team for the Local Government Association, and parish councillor |
| Neil Taylor: | District Council Chief Executive (retired) |
| Rowan Bird: | Bingham Town Councillor |
| Gareth Williams: | Bingham Town Councillor |
As part of this work, the board met with Stakeholders and residents across two days in January 2022. The board have set aside a further date on 28 February 2022 for interviews with Bingham residents that were unable to attend in January, to hear their individual views.
If you would like to meet the Improvement Board please contact the Bingham Town Council Clerk Town ( or 01949 831445 ) to agree a convenient time for a personal meeting with members of the Improvement Board.
The Board are looking forward to hearing a range of peoples’ views particularly about what improvements could be put in place for the future. So please make an appointment if you would like to participate in this process.

Ruschliffe County Council:
We are pleased to announce the start of the Rushcliffe Food Club, starting next Friday and runs weekly (every Friday) 12:30-2:30pm at Bingham Children’s Centre.
The criteria for club is: They must live or work within Rushcliffe and have a child 0 up to 5 years.
Joining the club in subject to:
- Completing an application form
- Bringing ID
- Proof of residency – phone bill, utility bill
- Photo ID – driving licence and or passport
- Paying the additional £1 annual membership fee
These can all be completed when they/you first attend but food can’t be issued until the 3 points above are completed.

Pursuant to section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that due to the resignation of Gemma Simms, a vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Town Council.
If by 9 February, 2022 (14 days after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors from within the parish ward, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.
If an election is called, it will take place not later than 13 April, 2022.

Temporary traffic signals will be in place on Chapel Lane (95 meters North of the turning for Dunsmore Avenue) from Wednesday the 19th of January until Friday the 11th of March, between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Please see the attached document for further information.

As part of this work two days on the 18th and 19th of January, 2022 have been set aside for interviews with Bingham residents to hear their individual views.
