Rushcliffe Borough Council is currently completing a mid-point review for the 10 year Leisure Strategy that was published in 2017. This strategy sets out the Council’s vision, key strategic objectives and a framework of principles to ensure leisure provision meets the needs of residents.

Tickets are now available for Bingham Bonfire Night, which will take place on Butt Field on the 5th of November.
Temporary traffic lights will be in operation on Chapel Lane from Wednesday the 28th of September until Wednesday the 5th of October, between 8:00am and 5:00pm. Please see the attached document for further information.
Thanks to National Lottery Funding, Bingham Town Council were pleased to work with Finding Fitness to offer free summer sports clubs for children in Bingham, for two weeks in August.
The scheme offered 160 children the chance to join in fun sporting activities including, dodgeball, yoga and cricket. The Mayor went along to meet the Finding Fitness team and join in the fun.
The scheme received positive feedback and the Council were pleased to be able to help facilitate summer fun, at zero cost to families.

On Sunday 11 September 2022, the Mayor read the proclamation for King Charles III after a prayer from Rev Jon Wright. The Deputy Lieutenant of Nottingham, Judith Swann was also in attendance and after the national anthem, the Church Bells rang for the King.
The proclamation read:
PROCLAIMING THE NEW SOVEREIGN
IN THE UNITED KINGDOMWhereas it has pleased Almighty God to call to His Mercy our late Sovereign Lady Queen Elizabeth the Second of Blessed and Glorious Memory, by whose Decease the Crown of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is solely and rightfully come to The Prince Charles Philip Arthur George: We, therefore, the Lords Spiritual and Temporal of this Realm and Members of the House of Commons, together with other members of Her late Majesty’s Privy Council and representatives of the Realms and Territories, Aldermen and Citizens of London, and others, do now hereby with one voice and Consent of Tongue and Heart publish and proclaim that The Prince Charles Philip Arthur George is now, by the Death of our late Sovereign of Happy Memory, become our only lawful and rightful Liege Lord Charles the Third, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of His other Realms and Territories, King, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith, to whom we do acknowledge all Faith and Obedience with humble Affection; beseeching God by whom Kings and Queens do reign to bless His Majesty with long and happy Years to reign over us.
