Kirk Hill, Bingham will be subject to a temporary road closure, extending 20 meters either side of the level crossing barriers, from 23:00 hours on Saturday 27th May 2023 until 08:30 hours on Sunday 28th May 2023. The closure is necessary to facilitate level crossing works being carried out by Network Rail.
During the closure, an alternative route will be available via Tithby Road, A52, A692 Fosse Way, and Chapel Lane (and vice-versa). Please refer to the attached document for more details.
Two-way temporary traffic signals will be in operation on Kirk Hill, Bingham (at the Level Crossing) between 23:00 hours on Saturday the 22nd of April and 09:00 hours on Sunday the 23rd of April. At these elections, you will need to bring photo ID to be able to vote at a polling station. A wide range of photo ID will be accepted, including passports, driving licences and cards with a PASS Mark

Temporary three-way traffic signals will be in operation on Tithby Road, Bingham (at its Junction with Langar Road) from Wednesday the 22nd of March to Friday the 24th of March 2023. The traffic signals will be in effect for 24 hours, and will be manually controlled during peak times. This is to facilitate Severn Trent Water carrying out a repair to a leak in the carriageway. Two-way and four-way temporary traffic signals will be in operation on Chapel Lane, Bingham (near the roundabout with Singleton Drive) between 9:30am and 3:30pm daily from Monday the 24th of April to Tuesday the 2nd of May. These traffic signals are required to facilitate remedial works by Barratt Homes. For more information, please refer to the attached document.
Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Tithby Road, Bingham (outside number 28) from Friday the 17th of March to Tuesday the 21st of March, operating 24 hours a day. The traffic management is necessary to facilitate Severn Trent Water’s repair works on a burst water main. Please refer to the attached document for further details.
On Sunday 12 March 2023, Bingham Town Council held its first event in the new Jubilee Community Hall at Bingham Arena. The Town Council hosted 60 guests to honour and celebrate members of the community who were being recognised for their commitment to the residents of Bingham. The Mayor, Cllr Gareth Williams was joined by the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Norman Mees to present the awards and the Mayor said that he “was delighted to meet those people that enrich our community and make Bingham the best place to live”.
