Mayor thanks Toot Hill School students for voluntary work in Bingham

The Mayor recently met with Toot Hill School students, Rico Lancaster and Ethan Elmes, both aged 14, to thank them for their work in the town.

Both students were taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award Scheme and contacted the Council for support to undertake voluntary work in the town. With the support of their families, both students completed a twelve-week litter pick in the Town. Rico and Ethan visited several areas in the town over the 12 weeks and identified Butt Field as the area they collected the most litter from.

The Mayor thanked Ethan and Rico for volunteering in the Town and for being part of helping to make Bingham cleaner for its residents and wished them success in completing their Bronze Award.
