Temporary Traffic Signals – Chapel Lane, Bingham, 12th to 23rd January 2026
Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation at various locations along Chapel Lane, Bingham — from 90 metres north of Braithwaites Road to Moorbridge Road. The signals will be active daily from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, starting Monday, 12th January until Friday, 23rd January 2026. These works are being carried out by Severn Trent Water for the installation of a new gas main.

Temporary Traffic Control – Abbey Road, Bingham, 14th to 16th January 2026
Stop & Go boards will be in use on Abbey Road, Bingham, from Wednesday, 14th January to Friday, 16th January 2026. The traffic control will be active between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM each day. These measures are necessary for Via East Midlands to install double yellow lines.

Temporary Traffic Signals – Grantham Road, Bingham, 5th January to 20th February 2026
Rolling temporary two- and three-way traffic signals will be in operation on Grantham Road, Bingham, from Monday, 5th January until Friday, 20th February 2026. The signals will be in place 24 hours a day and manually controlled during peak times (7:00–9:30 AM and 3:30–7:00 PM). These works are being carried out by Severn Trent Water for main renewal works.

Temporary Road Closure – New Lane, Aslockton, 26th January to 6th March 2026
A temporary 24-hour road closure will be in place on New Lane, Aslockton, from its junction with Abbey Lane to its junction with the A52. The closure will begin at 8:00 AM on Monday, 26th January and will remain in place until 5:00 PM on Friday, 6th March 2026.
This closure is required to allow Severn Trent Water to carry out main renewal works.
Diversion route: Abbey Lane – Dark Lane – Old Grantham Road – A52 and vice versa

Temporary Overnight Road Closures – A52 Gamston, the RSPCA junction and Bingham Interchange, 5th January – 8th January 2026
A temporary road closure will be in place on the A52 between Gamston, the RSPCA junction and Bingham Interchange. Work will include inspection and repairs of drainage, lighting, signs, and vegetation clearance.
Work will be carried out overnight, between 8pm and 6am as follows:
- Gamston Roundabout to RSPCA junction – Monday 5 January 2026 2 nights
Lane 1 closure in both directions
- RSPCA junction to Bingham Road – Wednesday 7 January 2026
Full closure in both directions – diversion via Stragglethorpe Road, A46 Northbound to Bingham Interchange.
- Bingham Road to Bingham Interchange – Thursday 8 January 2026 – 2 nights.
Full closure in both directions– diversion via Bingham Interchange, A46 southbound, Stragglethorpe Road.
Fully signed diversion routes will be in place whilst work is carried out at these locations.
During closures, there will be escorted access for residents of Grantham Road and side roads. Main Street and Bingham Road will remain open allowing access to Carter Lane without escort. There will be no bus service available.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout.

Temporary Traffic Signals – Nottingham Road, Bingham, 15th to 16th December 2025
Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Nottingham Road, Bingham, between its junctions with Mallow Way and Meadowsweet Hill. The signals will be active between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Monday, 15th December and Tuesday, 16th December 2025. These works are being carried out by Via East Midlands for the installation of a new tactile crossing. For further information, please refer to the attached document.
Temporary Traffic Signals – Fosse Way, Car Colston, 10th to 12th December 2025
Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Fosse Way, Car Colston, adjacent to the Margidvnvm Roundabout, from Wednesday, 10th December to Friday, 12th December 2025. The signals will operate 24 hours a day and will be manually controlled during peak hours (7:00–9:30 AM and 3:30–7:00 PM) to prevent traffic build-up on the A46.
