Bingham Town Guide

The 2022/2023 Town Guide and new Town Map is now available. The Town Council also commissioned the town map, which has been created by local artist Tim O’Brien, to include the expanding North of Bingham and the town map key features the new townscape that has been designed by Bingham based Ovy Design. A New Town Centre feature map has also been produced in the centre of the guide with assistance from the European Regional Development Fund.

About Bingham

Bingham was voted “the Best Place to bring up a Family” in October 2013.  It is a vibrant Town with a population of approx. 9,000, a Market every Thursday and a Farmers Market on 3rd Saturday of the month held on the Market Place alongside The Buttercross.  It is approx. 9 miles east of Nottingham, 9 miles south-west of Newark-on-Trent and west of Grantham situated where A46 (Old Fosse Way) intersects A52.

There are strong links with our Twin Town Wallenfels in Bavaria, Germany, and each year residents from each Town meet up be it in Wallenfels or Bingham.  A new play area opened in 2009 and is called Wallenfels Park.

Bingham Linear Park

The Linear Park is owned by the Town Council and is supported by an enthusiastic group of volunteers, The Friends of Bingham Linear Park.

The Old Court House is where the Council Offices are located and where the Town Clerk is based. All of the council’s business and meetings are conducted here but in addition the building is also available to hire as a venue for meetings.
