Welcome
to Bingham Town Council's web site!
This website is about the small market
town of Bingham, which is in Nottinghamshire in the East Midlands.
Bingham lies some eight miles to the east of Nottingham on the edge
of the picturesque Vale of Belvoir. It is ideally placed for a visit
or to stay, as it is only a few miles from Grantham, Newark, Melton
Mowbray and Leicester.
On this website you will
find information about the town and the facilities available here,
the Town Council, and the local Borough (Rushcliffe) and County
(Nottinghamshire) Councils.
Wynhill Playing Fields
The Council has been successful
in applying for grants to provide an adventure area, near the old
BMX track at Wynhill. Young people from Toot Hill School have
been telling the Council what they would like and ideas being progressed
so far are a seating area, some outdoor fitness equipment, basketball
goal and skateboard equipment. Works have started on site and the
facility is expected to be ready by Christmas.
Butt Field Project
Grants from the Football
foundation and WREN have been made and this will allow the project
costing in excess of £800,000 to go forward. New pitches
and new changing facilities are part of the scheme. Work has already
started to the new pitches and building regulation approval is currently
being sought for the new pavilion.
